It has been a long journey from the date I got interested in photography untill now. In the beginning I took pictures with a cheap Canon DLSR and was quite disappointed with the results I ended up with. Now I know the reason was a poorly designed Sigma zoom lens I had purchased. So I decided to go in strong and bought a Nikon D700 with a Nikon 50 mm/f1.8. I was amazed by the quality of the camera and lens and if I were a sensible person I would have sticked to the two and never bought something else.
But I am not, so I got interested in analogue photography and bought a Mamiya7, which I still consider one of the best camera’s I’ve worked with. Amazing image quality, sharp lenses, light weighted. I also bought some cheap 35 mm analogue camera’s, just for fun and education. It would be interesting to put all my purchases in this blog just to illustrate the voyage, but now I will restrict myself by just showing some fine camera’s which are in my bag (sometimes). It’s a Contax G1, a Leica M6, a Ricoh GR1S, a Nikon F80, a Minolta CLE and a Leica M9. The latest news is that I bought (for a very good price) a Mamiya6 which I plan to use intensively (see also the link to my Flickr page) and I traded up regarding my telephone, which now is an Iphone 6, so I look forward using that too and I am planning a review of the Iphone camera at the end of january. So, stay tuned!
